putting a gun to my head and everyone laughs and says "just like murakawa-san! what a classic film reference!!"

The Cars of Sonatine

There are too many films. This is both good and bad.

Recently, I decided I need to try to watch way more of them than I have been the last few years. I'm up to 2 a day now, which I believe is better for me than therapy. I was doomscrolling a bunch today, then put on Modern Times and then Sonatine. I felt great afterwards! Didn't feel like posting about how everything sucks. Thanks, movies.

Why those two movies? The house Plex server is loaded with movies because we love piracy; I just pick them at random based on whims or if I like the poster. It's a good system.

Modern Times was a delight and was very cozy to revisit after I first saw it about 15 years ago. But Sonatine I hadn't seen before. Ooohh man. Shit. This is fucking cinema. I felt like I was hovering above my chair watching this one. Sublime. I was moved to make this supercut of all this nice shots of just cars. The bits with the people are the best of course but there's also a lot of fantastic, long shots where the only focus is the car. Shout out to films.
