Cool Cartoons: Peanuts Except Bad

I bought the entirety of Peanuts for peanuts on Thursday and have been binging it with great interest. I grew up with the funnies and omnibuses of funnies from the library in my hands daily, but Peanuts never really struck me the way things like the more boisterous Calvin & Hobbes did. I guess turning 30 and getting really depressed helped make me get what's so special about the strip, especially in these early years (I'm up to 1954). Anxiety, pointless cruelty, misplaced rage, experimental snowmen — all the stuff I like from C&H is in here. I will probably spend another week in my room reading comics, just like the "good 'ol days". It's actually been very soothing but I'm hopefully coming out of the worst of it. Thanks Chuck.
