Radical Centrism Will Not Win!

The radical centrists would have you believe that nothing good can ever happen in America. Only half-measures that are incrementally less shit than whatever the fascists offer us is pragmatic enough. They will smear a Muslim man in New York trying to bring childcare & rent control to the people and for simply being who he is. When he wins, they write off the city’s population as freaks of nature for going socialist. “Sure, that sort of thing works in [not the same way the salsa commercial guys would say it, but a similar amount of disdain] New York City, but in Middle America? Non-coastal elites? Real Americans cares about kitchen table issues, not socialist identity virtue signaling blah blah blah blah blah.”

When a democratic socialist like him wins in Colorado, they write Melat Kiros off as another fluke, a lefty insurgent that promised a bunch of stuff nobody wants. Perennial Democrat losers, suddenly experts in winning elections, think “Medicare for All” and “Abolish ICE” are unpopular sentiments! What do these fucking people talk about at their kitchen tables? Online, they all talk like my former nazi roommate (former roommate, she’s still probably fucked in the head), whining to me as I do the dishes about my “soy” podcasts. They’re still concerned about the same stuff she was in 2016, mainly Bernie Bros and birthrates.

Speaking of podcasts, Ezra Klein will have Chris Rufo on a NYT podcast, let Rufo say completely wrong & stupid things on purpose to be evil and his radical centrism doesn’t allow him to push back. It doesn’t even allow him to disagree! It is fully compatible with Rufo’s plain, ugly fascism. Centrists cry for moderation only to those on the left. They want normal thinking people with moral compasses to move to the center, which just means moving to the right. “Centrists” like Ezra Klein should never be listened to again. But, in spite of him and his fascist buddy’s Discourse Brained view of the world they shared on that pod, the right wing is heavily institutionalized and deeply entrenched. It’s hard to avoid listening to these ghouls. Luckily, all of their ideas are unpopular and the more people hear them, the more it will sink in.

The radical centrists will not get their way. The far right will not win.
