Cool Pictures: Musée Méchanique

10/26 - Canon PowerShot S2 IS digicam

My gfwife and I have been trying to get out of the house more. We tend to wallow. So, I finally got us down to Fisherman's Wharf in SF to visit the Musée Méchanique, an interactive museum/arcade featuring machines and contraptions from all over the past 150+ years. I saw a Mutoscope featuring Harold Lloyd dancing around on a construction beam, that was great fun. We played an original Pong cabinet with video poker burn-in on the monitor. There were nickelodeons, elaborate moving dioramas, pinball machines, zoetropes, player pianos/violins/accordions, a steam powered motorcycle... there was a lot! cohost legend @eramdam joined us for a few games as well! I honestly didn't get as many photos as I thought I would that night because we were having too much fun. I hope to go back soon to play with all the doohickeys we skipped. It's nice to get out of the house.
